2-zone automatic climate control

2-zone automatic climate control
Alright, has anyone gotten their GT4 without it and regretted it?
I'm used to having it in my '13 Boxter, so I know what it does and take it for granted. Like most have said in other threads, I could care less about it being 2-zone for driver and passenger, but I do appreciate letting the car automatically control the AC or heat and fan to keep the set temperature.
I haven't had a car without automatic temp climate control since 1993, so I'm looking for opinions from anyone who got their GT4 with the standard setup who may have been accustomed to having a similar car (Cayman, Boxster, 911) with the auto climate control before.
I digress, but this whole thing also begs the question... why the h@$% does Porsche not make this standard on the GT4 other than to be greedy (over $700!)... it's not as if this feature makes any difference in terms of weight or performance, nor is it in anyway justifiable as a "race car" or "enthusiast" thing to not have it. Oh well.
Thanks.

I'm not missing it.....but we don't have huge seasonal temperature changes down here so it's basically set at one setting and forget.

No dual climate no regrets here in sunny FL. I like that Porsche " for the most part" let's you pick what options you want on your car. If they loaded a car with a bunch of standard options your Porsche would not be so personal now would it? It would be called a dealer spec car.

I have it in my 991 turbo and am addicted to it - just set and forget...especially in the cold Canadian winters.
But with my GT4 I drive it with the windows down to hear the amazing exhaust so I don't miss it whatsoever

I have found in most of my cars with climate control that I am constantly playing with the auto control anyway. Didn't feel like wasting the money on the gt4 system and am mostly happy with that setup. Would much prefer old fashioned ***** to the silly rocker switch but can overall live with it. No regrets.

If you like the Auto feature, it's a good option, else skip it.
I don't use the Auto feature in our other cars so skipped it for the GT4 - certainly no regrets.

If you are worried about it, even a little, just get it.
I don't doubt for a second that I won't miss it. I never use it in any of my other cars.

I'm no the fence about climate control, but what really frustrates me is that the car doesn't have a backup cam or especially keyless entry and ignition even available as options, let alone standard. A $100K Porsche in 2016, and you can't get features that are standard on $18K Kias these days... I know it's a sports car first and foremost, but c'mon.
