Cobb will you guys be releasing the Accesstuner software to protuners (not the t00ners) for this platform? I would love a personalized, tailored map after I do a bunch of bolt-on mods.

Cobb,

does your system achieve those gains without any custom parts (headers etc) or in conjunction with exhaust mods for example like Fabspeed's sport headers which show huge torque gains especially in flat spots in the power curve around 3600rpm.

Yes, we will be releasing Accesstuner software to our Protuning network within the next few weeks!

All release OTS (off the shelf) maps for the 981 will be Stage 1 which is only the Accessport itself. We'll be releasing future firmware/map updates to include Stage 2 maps which will more than likely include header/plenum/muffler upgrades once more testing has been completed.

In the meantime, once our Accesstuner Pro software is released within a few weeks, you'll be able to visit your nearest COBB Porsche Protuner to have a customized map made for your specific parts/vehicle combination to optimize the vehicle's performance.

*************************IMPORTANT UPDATE****************************

We've released Beta firmware which will get everyone with a C20 ROM up and running very soon. The first step will be for everyone who has been waiting for support to update to Beta firmware. Here are the instructions on how to complete that process:

1) Install AP Manager 2.1.1.12 if you haven't done so already. Here is the download link: COBB Tuning - Accessport Manager
Once the software is installed, go ahead and load it up.

2) Plug in your Accessport. If you have Windows XP, make sure you click on the "Found new hardware" prompt to install the driver for the Accessport. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7/8.1/10 or Mac OSX the driver will be installed automatically.

3) Click on "Options" button in the middle of the functions bar and check the box for "Allow beta firmware updates" in the "Updates" subsection. This step is critical.

4) Next, Click on "Updates" button in the functions bar and click on the "Begin firmware update" button in the upper right corner.

The firmware update should only take a few minutes. When it is done, click on the "AP Info" button in the functions bar and confirm your firmware version is now 1.7.2.0-11439 or higher. If so, go ahead and plug the Accessport into your vehicle and continue on with the installation process.

From here, there will be two groups of you. One group will be able to install immediately. You'll be given the option to select your octane appropriate Stage 1 map and you'll complete the install process as normal. The second group will receive the unsupported ROM message and you'll be prompted to the user tools functionality to download your ROM. We'll need to collect these ROMs from you as quickly as possible to hopefully have support up and ready for you as early as today. Here are the instructions for how to download your unsupported ROM, transfer it from your Accessport to your computer, and then email it to us:

COBB Tuning – V3 Accessport User Dump Tool for downloading ROMs

Please email those ROMs directly to support@cobbtuning.com if you do not already have a support ticket open with us.

Once we receive those emails from those of you with unsupported ROMs, our goal is to have you supported within a few hours. Thanks again everyone for your patience and if you have any questions, please let me know!

What map do you suggest for California which I believe has a higher ethanol content. Should we stick with the lower octane programs?

You're going to want to stick to the Stage 1 91 (or Stage 2 91 when released) maps for CA 91.

Thanks!

Are you working on an update that won't show that the DME were overwritten after COBB has been uninstalled, and if so is there an ETA?
Thanks.
