Clicking noise on cold start up?

Today when I started the car after sitting overnight I heard a noise like a lifter clacking.went away in few minutes. Never heard it before . Anybody else hear anything on cold start up? Talked to the tech said possibly the HPFP? Thanks carl

get a video/audio recording. Could be the cold air injection, which runs at dead-cold start for 1-2 mins then shuts off.

When I used to start my old 981CS I definitely heard some rhythmic clicking on startup. It was frankly the only time the car sounded vaguely "agricultural", and after it warmed up it totally went away.
