Thanks for bumping this. It never ceases to inspire me when people post about taking a wrench to their GT3. It's awesome stuff in a day and age when few people work on their own cars; and all cars are getting steadily more difficult for laymen to lay hands on (gotta take off the plastic cowls first). The most amazing DIY to me I read recently was swapping the LSD, though in reality it's actually a fairly accessible part.

If this was in the DIY GT2 & GT3 section like it should be you wouldn't have to bump it.

Helping a buddy change the oil on his 2011GT3 soon, this DIY thread still appy? I've changed oil on 997.1 & 997.2's & wanna make sure I help him do it right since it's a diff block. Plan on looking in manual for capacity & torque specs.

He came over today. Thanks to this DIY for helping us get his 997.2 GT3 oil changed. Here's a couple photos

Drain on passenger side of motor. Made a huge mess when oil came out, otherwise was a very smooth DIY
