I was an SCCA timer at Laguna Seca in the mid to late 60s. For me, the 4-cam Carerras had the best sound of anything on the track. There were Ferarris with open exhaust and big-bore Chebby Chaperrals, but the 550, RS-60 and 904 were sweetest. I've searched but have been unable to find a recording of this great noise.
