Default 991.2: " Rear Lid air intake grilled painted". Anyone seen ?

Has anyone seen a pic of these Gen 2 grilles painted ? From a cursory look at a demo car (last time I was at my OPC) the grilles seem to be a combo of 2 or more plastics or plastic-coated alloy. Which bits are painted body-colour ? UK RRP is £ 396.00 so I guess USD is around $ 400.00+. I cannot find any image out there for painted rear deck grilles other than 991.1 turbos..... Any ideas anyone ?

When you select the Aerokit option (black) it also changes the color for the grilles. No individual option to just paint the grilles

Many thanks. As I suspected, the grille frame is colour-matched to the body paint but the vertical 'strakes' remain the 'standard' gloss black.

There also now appears to be a central 'louvred' air duct as part of the aero package for the 991.2 which remains in..... black. Not my cuppa tea, I'm afraid.

Pity: I was hoping they'd offer a grille more akin to the 991.1 '50 jahre' grille which, in turn, references the chromed metal deck grilles of the '60s. I've ordered 'ali' trim strips on my 991.2 and want to get more 'bright-work' effect onto the car and move away from grilles, surrounds, intakes etc. finished in black all the time.

The central ducts are on Turbo and Turbo S only.

Good point. So, it appears we still await a 'visual' of this grille on the new 3 litre 991.2s....

It shows the vertical grille bars painted body color when you check the box on the configurator and then view in 360 degree mode......

Mmm, that's very curious..... I've been onto the UK, US and German configurator and can see nothing of this option on the 360 degree/enlarged pic mode, but I do use a Chromebook..... So, I logged on with a iphone and still nothing. Any chance of a pic on this ? Would be really appreciated. Many thanks.

No, no....they came out really well. Excellent fellow you are

Mmm, that configurator is something I've not seen before....even at my OPC where I confirmed the spec on a screen at the salesman's desk....The dealer was undergoing a complete Porsche corporate re-fit at the time, so maybe this was part of a system update, too. Can I ask a massiv favour ? Could you switch the body colour to something like red or yellow so we can see the vertical strakes in a sharper contrast ? I'm guessing this is 'graphite': the strakes are there but don't stand out too well. I want to get this over to my salesman asap since my build slot is 09.12.16 and I've a PTS ordered.... since I think this works well. Sorry to be a pain.

Here you are. Yellow showed a better contrast.
