Post Can I just walk into a Porsche dealer and get a poster?

I have a friend with a Boxster, and when he went into the (one of many) dealer in LA, he was asked if he wanted some posters.

Could I go to the dealer and see if they would part with a Porsche Turbo poster? Would I usually have to pay for it? What should I do?

Should I tag along with my friend when the car gets service so I get a poster because I would be in the "in" crowd?

Thanks!

If you want a dealer poster of a current model, call the dealer and ask if they have one you can have. Although I haven't seen current dealer posters on ebay, there are a variety of Porsche posters for sale there.

When the Boxster was new, dealers were giving away lots of those "ovoid" posters.

However, I've never seen one framed.

The going price for factory race-victory posters used to be 40 bucks. Of course that was when the factory was racing. The way things are going, they may be quite rare soon.

Hey Kenrat! I know a bit about Porsche posters! Dealerships are all different. Some will give away the posters, both old and new. Some will only sell them. Contact the parts dept of your nearest dealerships. I have over 200 different racing posters, plus duplicates, and a bunch of the street model(showroom) posters. What are you after? The 996 twin turbo or the boxster? How about the 996 SuperCup? Let me know.

There's a really nice 996 turbo cutaway poster out there. Here's a picture of it hanging in my garage:

I bought it on ebay for $25.
