Charge-O-Mat light?
I finally got around to wiring my Charge-O-Mat directly to the battery on my 928 (since the cigarette lighter circuit is open when the ignition is off).
When I plug the maintainer in, a red light illuminates on the front of the maintainer.
Does this light have significance (e.g., red=battery discharged, green=charged, etc.)?
Thanks,
-Steve

On my 2 Porsche Tequipment chargers (I think we''re talking about the same ones):

the red light comes on when the battery is charging and will go off when the battery is full charged (trickling).
As soon as you put a load on the battery/charger (i.e. open a door), the red light should come back on and once the battery is fully charged again, the light will go off.
Depending on the state of your battery, it might take a day or two to fully charge. If the light stays on continuously, you have either a defective battery (internal short or two) or you have a current draw somewhere in the vehicle.
