I KNOW there are some Porshe events in Texas. I found one event in Houston Jan 31st. Please post events in and near Texas that may include Porsches. Post car shows, races, and cruises.

Coffee and Cars Beaumont is a FREE Car Show for any and all makes, models and types of vehicles. Everyone is welcome to show their car or view others vehicles. Held every third Saturday in the Sertino's Cafe parking lot.

Once in a while this small gathering is much bigger when the local Corvette or Mustang club has its annual car show. It would be great to get a few Porsche owners coming regularly. If the weather is nice, I'll plan to attend.

Are you a member of PCA? The LSRPCA chapter is very active, having weekly social get togethers as well as DE's, autocrosses, concours, etc. Members meet at Houston's Cars and Coffees every first Saturday, I think your mind would be blown by what shows up there.

Thanks for posting info on the LSRPCA. This is just the thing I wanted to get posted here. I checked out the website and it looks great. Houston is about an hour and a half from me...hopefully events are on my side of town!

I'm not interested in racing my car, (I spend too much time waxing it!), but there is a really cool table starting on p. 30 with stock horsepower, weight and weight/horsepower ratios. The 928 S4 is awfully heavy at 3,655lbs but the 316HP pushes the weight/HP ratio down to 11.57.

Looks like February 9-10 is when their Tour to Rockport gets rolling and then Porsches and Pollen March 23.

Please don't remind me that pollen season is coming back around soon At least we have a reprieve from the lovebugs for a while.

I just recently purcahsed an '87 951 and would like to get to know others in Houston area (I'm in The Woodlands) with 944/951's. Plan to go to the LSRPCA DE event at TWS next month (Feb 2, 3).

Randy V...thanks. This thread could also have fit under regions. I was disappointed there weren't any local events listed here so I thought this would help folks in Texas and nearby find local events. Now that you bring it up, I'm not sure why the entire Events section isn't within the regional section.

In any event, there are some threads in the Central Region that include happenings in and near Texas.
