Default Miles added after ED drop off

Curious if others had many miles added to their cars between dropping off in Germany (or elsewhere) and picking up at the dealer. My odometer showed an extra 16 miles. Not the end of the world but does seem like a lot when it went from parking spot to truck to boat to dealer. 16 miles is quite a bit of driving and moving around the port doesn't explain it.

Mine had 12 additional miles. I was surprised too. But they have to move it around a bit at the factory drop off, both ports etc...

Sounds like PDI miles from the dealer. Idk why it would be driven after euro delivery. Just a guess.

The number of miles from drop-off to pick up at home should not exceed what is typical for non-ED car. The cars are loaded on car carriers and moved from factory to port and then to the dealer for customer pickup.

1. How many miles are on a typical US delivered Porsche?
2. Has anyone ever installed a GPS tracker in their car after a ED to track where the car has been driven during the time of transport?

Great idea! Maybe even get one that transmits via GSM so that you get a precise location once it's within cell tower range.

Next ED: definitely! ..... if not just for the extra data
