Earlier this week here at Excelerate Performance we had a brand new 2014 Porsche Targa 991 4S in for some upgrades including GIAC software, and an AWE Tuning exhaust, along with K&N Filters. Just thought we'd share some of the photos from that project.

Check out the AWE Tuning exhaust tone on this 2014 Porsche Targa 991 4S. Nearly dropped my camera when it hit wide open throttle!

Just a gorgeous 991 Porsche Targa 4S 3.8L

Before

After, with the new AWE Tuning SwitchPath exhaust

Just some Porsche Caliper eye candy

Another happy Porsche customer. And this customer has brought a number of Porsche
platforms to us, including Caymans, Cayenne Turbos, and Carrera

This pristine 2014 Porsche 991 Turbo S was in our shop for the highly anticipated AWE Tuning performance exhaust with diamond black quad tips.

Here's what the stock exhaust looked like.

With the old exhaust off, the turbos are exposed.

The new AWE Tuning exhaust is installed and we love the aggressive look, exhaust note, and increased performance, which is a far cry from the stock system.

We love the angle the AWE Tuning diamond black quad tips have exiting the car.

It's a challenge to develop an aftermarket exhaust for the great 911. The Akrapovič engineers have prepared a superb system with a dual nature. When the valves are closed, the 911 sounds deeper than stock, but not louder. When the valves are open, expect a completely opposite, pure racing sound, with adrenaline-pumping bangs.

With perfect fitment and no drone, combined with an amazing sound, what more could you ask for?

The noise-control exhaust valves help reduce excess drone. At high rpm the valves open to allow the exhaust to breathe and produce the definitive sound of an Akrapovic Exhaust System.

This wireless receiver allows the driver to open and close the exhaust valves remotely.

By using the optional Wireless Kit, the driver can fully control the exhaust valves, which are controlled by the car’s electronics if no optional part is used. When the valves are closed, the 911 sounds deeper than stock, but not louder. When the valves are open, expect a completely opposite, pure racing sound, with adrenaline-pumping bangs.

The 991 Porsche Turbo S returned for some slight fabrication work. The AWE Tuning black quad tips were pulled out even further to give it a more aggressive look. Keep your eye out for some GIAC software upgrades in the future.
