MoTeC tip: missing gps beacon
I thought I would share these things as they come up in hopes others searching find it useful.
If you are using GPS and aren't getting lap times, here is one approach:
- use dash manager, use online mode to verify your GPS channels are giving you lat and long numbers.
- use dash manager to turn on logging for gps channels.
- go do some laps, download the data into i2
- in i2 turn on channels for lat and long. Scroll the cursor to where you think the start/finish should be (about) using the track map. Then copy that position into the start finish coordinates in dash manager for the start/finish.
- you may need to delete the first positional last/long pair because the first set is always start/finish (vs a segment)
Bam you should be all set.
