Default New AiM Products to be displayed PRI

In case you don't get the AiM emails, here is what they just sent out http://www.aim-sportline.com/mailing...apolis2016.htm

Looks like they will have displayed, among other items, the GS-Dash that will work with the Evo4s and Evo5, the LCU4, the MXm, and the MXS Strada with "kit car" displays instead of regular warning lights.

I've seen and held the GS-Dash and it's very nice. Similar build and quality to the current dashes.

More info from the show!

We can know more next week at PRI when we get to talk to everyone. Just like everyone in the industry, there are delays with releases. I know when we get these products, they will work well and be great tools.

Right now that is all that has been released. I'll know more next week when I meet with everyone at the show.

Old saying in Italy; "Domani... Domani..."

It means, "Tomorrow... Tomorrow..."

domani m ‎(invariable)
1) tomorrow

Having been a Ferrari and Alfa Romeo mechanic in my younger days, there are more similarities than differences...

What is that little shift light module at the front? I've never seen that from them.
I have a SOLO DL and SCHD in my race car but need a few idiot lights.

AIM's version of MoTeC 's SLM (shift light module) will likely be introduced at the PRI show next week. While it will be connected via the standard AiM CAN (plugged into a Data Hub), there is some question whether it will work with the Solo DL (which will drive multiple cameras AND accept an LCU-One CAN from an attached Data Hub), OR more likely, be accessory for the EVO4S and EVO5, as well as the new dashes (MXL2/MXG/MXS).

This is a likely product release announcement, though...

Thanks Peter.

I might update to an MXL2 in 2017.

My guess is that the MXm display/logger will be a "mid-point" offering, similar to a MyChron5, but for cars instead of karts, with GPS integration, conventional RPM (as opposed to ECU only, like the Solo DL) input. We'll see...

AIM is clearly focused on dashboards. They would be smart to spend those development dollars on software, it's what's holding their solutions back from being as useful as they could be.

I would have said that about Racelogic in 2010-2012, and Race-Technology from 2001-2012.

Each vendor has their own priorities.
