Default Aim 67 vs 84 vs 120 degree camera?

I have an AIM Smarty cam HD GP camera with a 120 degree lense that I use in my Radical SR3. There is a lot that I like about this set up, but, it seems like the 120 degree lense "straightens" out the track too much so I am considering going with either a 67 or 84 degree camera. Does anyone have experience / recommendations using either of these cameras on an open cockpit car?

Thanks for the help,
Charley

84 is the narrowest I would use. Had that on my SRF and liked it.

I recommend the 84 over the others. I have a customer that would trade a 84 bullet cam for a 120, if you're interested.

Thanks Peter! I am trying to find some 84 degree video before finalizing my decision, but I believe I would like to do the trade.

Charley

I'd be happy to send you an 84 lens to try, send it back if you don't like it. I keep them in stock. I have many customers who use multiple lenses, ie. 84 for practice and coaching, 120 for racing (to see cars beside them). E-mail me at jerryaustin at Verizon.net and we can work out details

Thank you for your generous offer. Right now I am working on a trade with Peter.... if that falls through I will contact you.

Thank you for the help,
Charley

Peter, thank you very much for making the connection between me and Eric. He is a really nice guy and our cameras are crossing in the mail as we speak. I appreciate your help!

I actually found a spare 84 bullet lens in my inventory. I'll offer to swap for a 120 if someone else wants to do what Charley has done

I'll trade you a 60 or 67 for it, Jerry?

Sure, I'll trade. Are you going to PRI? We could swap there, they are small and easy to carry, also cheap to mail.

Signed up for PRI, headed to the MoTeC dinner, but Lynne is having her surgery that week. Let's mail, to be sure.

Here is a video that compares the HD GP with a 120 degree lense and an 84 degree lense. The video was taken on different days, and the lap time times are quite different but it gives you an idea of the difference in the picture with the different lenses. When I have some time I will do a better job editing so the differences in each corner are more apparent.
