To remove the adhesive use Goo Gone which is citrus based. Once clean wipe the surface with isopropyl to remove the cleaner and then put a coat of wax on the surface for protection.

I'm a fan of 3M adhesive remover. It can also remove wax and grease, and can be used on glass and vinyl.

WD 40 works well to remove glue residue - only thing that worked to remove cooked on duct tape residue.

From hanging @ a repair shop for years, on glass.. nail polish remover and a blade to scrape the residue. On body.. gently rubbing paint thinner with a micro fiber rag in circular motion. If that doesn't work.. replace the car.

I would use paint thinner as a last resort, after all else has failed. Not worth the risk

Light amount of carburetor cleaner on a soft rag will work. Rub gently but be aware the cleaner evaporates quickly.

Even better. Being raised by the man who basically changed the way insurance claimed were being processed back in the late 90'ies, allowed me to pick up a few secrets here and there from our guys. Our vehicles had to be crisp and clean. You can always speak to a Decal shop. They may have a product for your needs.

goo gone or some rubbing alcohol should do the trick. Stay away from harsh stuff like paint thinner, acetone, etc. As mentioned by others, not worth the risk
