Metallic Black colors - nearly same hassle as flat blacks?
Hi all,
Greatly appreciate as much commentary as possible on owning a metallic black car for a daily driver family car with regard to overall tolerability of how it looks, cleanliness, showing flaws, and of course detailing. I use a local detailer once per year, sometimes twice, and then do the rest myself... usually once per season. Here in Phoenix area I think it's actually more tolerable than average to have any black color because it rains so infrequently and using a California duster can go a long way. Also, my car will be garaged always at home or work. Do not plan to clear bra this car.
Flat black is out of the question.
Wife pushing for white or a metallic gray.
Metallic black comments appreciated. Thanks

As you already know, your wife is correct. Do whatever she says.

I would try to find an interesting shade of silver if you want something that is low maintenance and hides scratches. Metallic Black is easier than flat black and can hide some of the swirls but it's definitely not as good as silver or other lighter metallic shades.
