Shout out to North Shore Porsche Owners
This past weekend has been fantastic weather and I went for a 1 hour drive up and down Sheridan and saw quite a few Porsches driving around Highland Park, Glencoe and Winnetka.
To the owner of silver 991 on Sheridan who gave me the biggest wave I ever saw, if you are on this forum, thank you for that!
Also saw:
-owner of silver 996 with the PCA sticker in Glencoe with the PCA sticker
-black 991 Cab in Highland Park
-white 991 Cab in Highland Park
-black 987 Boxster on Sheridan
-mystery beautiful yellow 911 in the garage of an equally stunning home off Sheridan
-countless black Cayennes

We were out and about over the weekend, too, including a fun run up and down Sheridan this weekend Lots of Porsches out. Not many people wave or flash back anymore. Too bad!
Moving to Highland Park was nice because now I'm right on Sheridan. I can zip on down to the twisty parts any time I want and it's a minimal time commitment. Just enough time for the oil to really heat up!

Yeah! I was really pleased with how many Porsches actually showed up to that event. I've had times where I've been the lone Porsche surrounded by a sea of daily/winter drivers at the general membership meeting!
There was even a gorgeous 914-6 that came out that day. I'm a drive-em-all-the-time type, but my 914 was one car that I wouldn't drive in the salt. A buddy of mine said that he bought one new in like '73 or so and before '80 it had rusted in half.

Driving Porsches daily out here in Barrington. I went to the northstar event and my friend who wrenches with me drove by in his cruiser ( (lake county Sheriff) checking it out. Even he said it was cool so many that cars were parked out on the main road.
Lots of waves out here, lots of humble people out here.
