I put together this list for some p-car friends and thought I might as well share it here too. It's a list of pcar and car show events mostly in the Chicagoland area. It's not exhaustive but should provide plenty of choices for those looking to see other rides in the area.

Here is a rundown of the shows

Supercar Saturdays: They only do a few of those a year. This is a pretty massive event in terms of the number and diversity of cars but not really crowded with people which is nice. Probably because it's very early starting at about 7 and only going to 11a. Tons of Ferraris, Lambos, Porsche, Vettes, you name it. It's in a cool little town SW of Chicago half the time and the other half the location is still TBD but probably in a suburb in the NW part of the suburban sprawl. http://www.supercarsaturdays.com/

Fuelfed Coffee & Classics: This is all Euro cars. Classics (pre 1990) are the main attraction and there is a secondary corral for Modern Euro Sports cars (post 1990) and another third corral for American classics if they have room. usually they do not I've read though so the American classics might line a back street if they come at all. Rise & Drive:
This event is near Soldier Field and just a quick drive for us. It's once a month and has a great diversity of cars from Lambos to purpose built race cars, old euro classic to old muscle and hot rod. Very diverse. The first one I went to this year had about 40-50 cars and it was raining that day so there will be more when it's nice out.

Fuelfed Spontaneous Combustion: This is an evening event that is bigger with the Modern Euro Cars like mine and only a few Euro classics held every third Thursday of the month in the Northshore of Chicago. This Fuelfed group is actually quite large but also hush hush. They do not provide the location for this event until the night before to prevent the Southside and burb ricer tools from crashing the party and making mess of the place. 2-3: The First Drive (TFD15.1) to Prairie du Chein (Members Only). We’ll be attending the historic New Glarus Hillclimb on the way. Secret routes in western WI. Musty taverns, classic supper clubs. Bring cash, AAA & Bond cards.

5-7: AHRMA Vintage Motorcycle Classic & RockerBox & Motofest. Elkhart Lake, WI. RockerBox of Milwaukee has joined events with the AHRMA to form quite the vintage event.

14: 8:00am to 11:00am. The Fuelfed OPEN gathering, Lake Forest, IL. This is our season opener. Open to ALL Fuelfed member cars. Classic, modern and yes, even American. For those who love classics, but currently drive something more modern, yet want to mingle with the E-Types, 356s & Dinos this is your gathering.

12-14: Motoblot Chicago: Mods vs Rockers vs Rodders, Chicago, IL

19-21: VSCDA: Vintagefest at Blackhawk Farms Raceway, Rockton, IL

21: Rise & Drive 8a-11a

28: 9:00am to 11:00am. Fuelfed Coffee & Classics. Winnetka, IL

The Vincent Owners Club (VOC) will be joining us. They will have special reserved parking for their Black Shadows & Rapides.

26: Fuelfed Water Wood & Wheels Tour (W3) to the Geneva Lakes Antique & Classic Boat Show, Abbey Resort, Fontana, WI. The GLACBS is annual national antique wooden boat show attracting top collectors for a weekend of boating fun & cocktails. Special parking for Fuelfed members and their classic cars at the show. We’ll have a special touring route through the rolling countryside on drive up and lunch. (Members only)

27: 9:00am to 11:00 am. Fuelfed Coffee & Classics, Winnetka, IL.
The annual September Ferrari gathering sanctioned by the FCA. Special parking for classic Ferraris on Elm.

I didn't make it to SCS, but last months Rise & Drive had a great Porsche turn out. Quite a few air-cooled cars, a 356, and even a Carrera GT.
