Spoiler Lift Motor

Spoiler Lift Motor
Hello, first time Porsche Boxster owner. I was out enjoying driving the Boxster today and had a spoiler failure alert come up on the dash. After getting back home I began troubleshooting the problem. Long story short, I discovered that the plastic gear in the lift motor had stripped out. Is this gear available somewhere, or do I have to buy a complete motor assembly?
As i've already said this is my first Porsche, a 2002 Boxster. It's a pretty solid car with 53000 miles on it. It has a few small issues that I've been repairing and I'm sure more I haven't come across yet. So I'll be asking here for some guidance as I come across the issues.
TIA, Ronnie....

Just keep in mind that something caused the spur gear to fail. Most probably tpp high friction or binding in the spoiler lift components. Get that problem fixed before you replace the spur gear, otherwise it is likely to go again.

I recently repaired mine but eventually just replaced the entire thing. The problem is a metal on plastic relationship that is impossible to re-lubricate easily and an over-powered electric motor . Insted of a fuse blowing, the metal gear just snaps off or wears down plastic teeth. The rack may become stiff from lack of lube -ditto the 2 risers.
I found a cheap take-off from a later Cayman on EBay and modified it to fit.
Not a simple diy but doable
