Default Power steering hose leakage how to resolve?

I have a small leakage in the connection between the rubber hoses of the power steering. It is the hose which is connected to the pump. Is this a common problem and does anyone have a proposal of how to fix it (besides buying a new expensive hose)?

If you are sure the leak is with the hose and at the metal union I don't think there's enough extra hose to remove that section and splice the two hose ends together in some way to withstand IIRC the hundreds (maybe even 1000) PSI the high pressure side has to withstand.

Besides the rest of the hose may be questionable and shortly after you successfully splice the two ends together the hose leaks/fails at some other spot.

So either you get a new hose made up using perhaps the old hose's connectors or more likely if available "off the shelf" new connectors or a custon hose made or get a "factory" replacement hose. Maybe you can save some money buying from an online Porsche parts place vs. buying from your local dealer?

Remove hose at fittings either end. Take to "Hose Man" or similar .They will fix. They do lots of work like this.
BUT please tell us how this solution works for you so we may help others in future?

BTW LN sell Raceline P/S fluid which they claim(LN is a very credible source!) is an acceptable substitute for Pentosin.
But check there is no leak from the neck of the reservoir while you are refilling. If there is a big airlock, it will clear when you rotate the S/wheel and the pump will emit an awful squeal.Shut down immediately ,add more P/S fluid and repeat. But keep checking for leaks at the neck .The O rings fail. Do not over fill. Up to the min mark is fine.
Attach a tag to the old hose saying you want the old hose and old fittings back -unless they re-use the old fittings (reusing good ,old fittings is O.K.)
