Default Electric connection of the cooling fan

I have removed the engine from my car and unfortunatly forgot to disconnect the electrical connection to the fan in the back.

Please see picture. Did I connect the brown and red wire correctly or how can I see if it is done correctly?

It should be a polarized plug .Do you mean you pulled the wires out of the back of the connector ?
