Jay's windscreen is made from a much higher ender material than a Lexan. It's a 1/4 inch high impact Optix, which is a glass-like thermoplastic and will not scratch like Lexan. Each windscreen also comes sanded and flame-polished. The way it is installed is for either a permanent unit or as a removable wind-deflector. It also is guaranteed against breakage or cracking, and installation only requires a Phillips screwdriver and less then a minute of your time (no drilling required).
