Default Navigation volume won't hold

I have a 2014 Boxster, and after a recent PCM update by the dealer, I am having problems with the Navigation system. When the nav voice speaks, I turn the volume **** to increase the volume of her voice. But...there are two problems: (1) The nav system does not retain that volume. Each time she speaks, volume is back to the original quiet volume and I must turn the **** to raise the volume. (2) if I was also listening to the radio, after the nav voice stops speaking, the radio volume goes up to an ear-splitting level. Raising the volume of the nav voice also raises the volume of the radio.

The dealer said "That's how it works, all our other Boxsters do the same." But, the nav didn't act like this before, and the nav is now almost unusable.

Any ideas? How can I resolve this?

I just picked up my new 2017 C4 today and I have the same issue as you. I will be checking with Porsche.

You might try posting in a 981 forum as a 986 ain't going to have your nav system
