Default 987 6 spd in 986

Hi guys,

I am looking at doing a 987 g87.20 6 speed trans swapped into an early 986 race car. I haven't been able to find info on the wheel hub / spindle compatibility. Does anyone know who has done this before or a link to a thread with info on this? I have searched for quite some time but I cant seem to find any info on it.

Thanks!

Eric253 did this on his car. Look for his posts or shoot him a PM. I got a question about this from Sweden just yesterday and didn't know the answer for the guy, just that it works. How it works are details I would like to know as well.

Thanks Matt. If we move forward on this you and Bill will know all of the details. Would use your diff. Ive got most of it figured out and can check some stuff against my Cayman before we go down this path.

I am using a 986 boxster S 6 speed in my 2004 2.7 boxster. We used boxster s rear uprights and axles with the 6 speed. they are beefier anyway, so works out better.
