Default Brake upgrade for Non S Boxster/Cayman

Are you looking for a BBK upgrade for your non S Boxster/Cayman under $900? Here is the answer:

Two-piece rotor (Open Slot) FRONT - BOXSTER 97-08 / CAYMAN 07-08
http://www.racingbrake.com/Two-piece...8-p/2226-k.htm

This kit is a direct bolt on and comes everything you need, and will oversize your 298 rotor to 330mm rotors, but still lighter than original.

We look forward to serving your brake needs.

Are you working on a brake upgrade for a 981 Cayman?

And, where are your rotors and parts made?

Please let us know what kind of upgrade you are looking for in terms of usage and/or rotor size ( your wheel size).

Here is an introduction just being posted on 997 forum:
Yes, If you are looking for the best track worthy brake rotors, RB two piece rotors should be on your choice list.

Racingbrake rotors are casted with our Patented "Convergent Vanes" and center-mount design technology, which are proven on tracks that can more effectively cool the disc by admitting cool air from both inboard and outboard, helps to improve cooling. Our rotor material is of high carbon and alloyed iron, heat treated before machining to reduce the chance of cracking and warping, and therefore they are considered to be the most durable brake rotors. We have brake kits built for RX7 which rotors have run into 7 racing seasons since 2007 and still no one is replacing their discs.

All our discs are made with "open slot" design increasing cooling surface via vertical walls, keep the disc surface clean all the time for the optimal braking efficiency.

This patented design has ended decades' debate on which finish is better, "drilled holes" or "slotted" and has become the most favorable disc finish in various racing communities from S2000, WRX/STi, EVO to BMW (M3), CamaroSS, CTS-V, Corvette Z06, and recently GT-R.

In 2003 RB debuted industry's first two piece track duty rotors for STi and EVO8 replacing factory one piece rotor come with Brembo calipers, 10 years later we have covered almost all the popular motorsports cars, not just certain car makes.

Lately we have expanded our coverage to include Porsche and Ferrari and we believe our coverage for Porsche is also more comprehensive than others; from stock replacement to BBK upgrade using stock calipers, and from Boxster to Cayenne, 996 to 997, GT2/GT3 etc..

Please browse our offering matrix, and let us me know if you can't find the brake replacement/upgrade you are looking for.

We also offer iron rotor replacement rotors for PCCB, they are direct bolt on and are favored by most serious track racers.

Here is a recent review on Corevette forums for CCM rotors conversion to RB iron rotors by "mikymu"
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...version-2.html

This is a series of iron rotor replacement we developed to replace CCM rotors for those high horsepower cars like Ferrari F430 Scuderia and F458, and Corvette ZR1.

Ferrari F430: http://www.racingbrake.com/Two-piece...-16-p/2348.htm

Corvette ZR1:http://www.racingbrake.com/Corvette-...rs-p/zr1-p.htm

You will also note that our two piece rotor offer is always in front and rear set, unless there is rotor size constraint. It's harder to develop due to the drum brake, but drivers like light weight while they don't want to lose their e-brake, so we developed a composite hat design in which the aluminum hat is inserted with an iron sleeve.

All our brake products are designed, fabricated, assembled and tested in our Southern California facility in Fullerton, California

Although we are a 30 years brake company but I know we are new to Porsche community, so we must work harder to earn your trust, just like we were new to GT-R two years ago, but if you browse GT-R forums you'll get a good idea how RB brakes are rated today.

We offer Porsche owners risk free purchase. If for any reason you disagree they are not the best brakes that worth your money (even the look), and they do not perform better or last longer than those known brands including Brembo, AP, Alcon etc. Your purchase will be refunded.

Thank you for reading.

In our item description we always indicate the rotor size and thickness so you know what you are getting in addition to just the model and year.

The replacement rings are listed under the description, if you scroll the page down you will see the link.

If you can't see it let me know which application you are interested and I will send you the link.

Our prices for the rotors and rings are always in pair (x2 ea), and come pre-assembled ready to install, or with necessary hardware if you purchase the replacement rings later. No other components to buy no hidden items or charges.

A potential customer asked us how can we possibly make this small
size of rotor in two piece but not other company.

It is due to our center mount design (unlike traditional surface mount) that can set the mounting tab below the disc surface.

Here is the illustration showing you how.

This center mount design also allow the cooling air to be admitted from both inboard and outboard, keep the rotor running at lower temperature (~150F lower).

This two piece rotor also can save you 6.1 lbs per rotor, more than 30% over stock one piece rotor (13.1 vs. OE's 20 lbs)
