Is a transmission for Boxilla, my 02 Boxster S track toy. Second/third gear synchros are shot. Looking for some cheapo rebuild/replacement suggestions. I plan to phase out of DE and get a race license to do spec racer Ford or spec Miata racing, so not wanting to spend a ton of $ on the Boxster.

You can find a competent shop and have them do a partial rebuild, if the rest is solid, or you can buy one from a recycler and hope its solid. neither is cheap, but step #1, no matter what, is remove tranny.

I wanted to find a cheaper option, but if I can't find one, I may put the track hobby on hold for as long as it takes to save for this pricey option. I like the idea of having the LSD.
