$$$?
If you not mind me asking, how much will this rebuild cost? I am thinking about strengthening my 2008 3.4 next year. I take it your engine did not blow-up prior to the rebuild therefore the cost will be more reasonable.
Cheers!

I would hazard a guess, but on top of the $5800 he already spent, another grand or two for gaskets, seals, studs, etc.

So about $8K out the door? I was thinking of such a rebuild to strengthen the engine and provide a bit more kick.
Thanks!!

If you have all the tools, perhaps yes 8k 'ish. Maybe another grand or perhaps less than that. What's ten percent though when you are in that range?

Yeah that's about right + any machine work on the heads. I have been down a week waiting for a case alignment pin I had to order.

So how do you assemble the wrist pins and clips on a Boxster?

Nice build. I might be going down this road sooner than I had anticipated. Was yours by choice, or some sort of failure?
