The airbag light or the check engine light?

The check engine light is no big deal as long as it's not flashing. A solid CE light means something's wrong w/ the emissions system, a flashing means pull over and call for a flatbed to the nearest qualified mechanic.

If it's the airbag light I'd suggest you get it to a mechanic right now. A malfunctioning airbag could inflate suddenly, bad news if you're doing 75 on the highway. I just wouldn't consider it safe to drive it until the problem is fixed.

Yoseif, Chad and Jerry

Thanks for the posts.

The airbag light came on and stayed on for my wife's '99 Boxster.

I have made an appt with my dealer for Tuesday.

Thought I'd just check to se if anyone else had the same problem.

Seems these "isolated" occurences are becoming more frequent.

Yoseif i printed out "airbag light saga" for my dealer. Hopefully he won't be offended.
Wouldn't you know, it went off warranted 40 days ago! But I have a good relationship with them, so hopefully it won't be a hassle.

thanks for all the info and insight guys.

Thanks Eric, I had already printed it, and it will be attached to the shop order.

I appreciate the help.

Thanks to all of you for your insight on the Air bag light. I just hate to bring it in, when the snow just melted here in Minnesota!
Well, it melted away a while back. I... just... can't... do ...it , few .. more days.
