Servicing my new (to me) Boxster
I just purchased a 20,000 mile 2000 Boxster, seemingly in perfect condition. However, I've just discovered a very slow leak from the front of the car - best guess is that it is water.
Any ideas why / how to adress this?
Any suggestions for a good mechanic in the Berkeley, CA area?
Thanks,
Bob

Yes, replace all the coolant hoses. Not rocket science but most likely, everthing considered, a pain, especially at ground level. Any good shop that works on Porsches should be able to do the job. I would get all the hoses in hand first, especially the small ones. Worst case, one of the radiators is in need of replacement or repair. Best and easiets is tightening up a clamp.

I think it's condensate. I discovered a couple of days ago that 'auto' turns on the A/C. I wasn't aware at the time that it was running. Turning off the A/C seems to have eliminated the problem.
Glad you don't know who I am.

Hey Guys,
Those of you that do your own oil changes. Do you use the porsch filter or go with an aftermarket one from performance parts, pellican, etc ???
Thanks,
Tom
