Default Thinking about ASP

i may need my head examined but I'm thing of moving to ASP with my 997.1 NB from SS. I can't go after what is like about 20 GT3's at nationals.
My question is can I get 9 x 18 and 12 x 18 on my car and what offset? For a tire I was looking at 255 30 18 and 315 30 18 Hoosiers or 335 30 18 if they will fit. I'm also looking at Road and Track Ohlins with camber plates. The pocket book is tight so I'm keeping the build simple and see how it goes at the local level.

I would think the general idea would be smack dab in the middle of XPC5's SSP 997tt build and ASP Cayman build.

Yep I also think that but I looking at what wheel size and offset I can run with an 997 NB. A turbo is an WB so they have a different wheel size and offset in the rear.

18x12 rear with 335 is a good combo. On the widebody I used offset in the 48-52 range, so I think starting in the 55-65mm range is the right ball park. I would find wheels in the 60mm range, then use wheel studs and spacers to fine tune. Run 2.5-3 negative in the rear.

On the front, try to go with 10" wheels. The 255's will work much better on 10, and still be narrow enough for good fender clearance with some camber. You will need offset around 35-40mm if you use 2.25" springs.

I have a a NB so my Offset will be different in the rear. I will have to look for a set. Used would be good.

Bob, the 55-65 range was my suggestion for your NB. I run about 45-50mm on the WB. OZ's offset for 18x12s on NB cars is 68mm. So maybe 60-70mm is a better range, then fine tune with spacers.
