The method he uses is not the safest. Pulling away from the paint how it is shown is creating substantial stress on the paint which is unnecessary and a heat gun is not ideal.

Those may sound simple enough but it's actually the most important aspects of removing PPF. The less stress on the paint, the better.

As I mentioned, mine is 6 years old now and this is good info to have when it's time to remove mine. I imagine an installer of the new one will want additional money to remove an existing one since it's added work.

If your film is 6 years old and based upon technology available in 2011, you may want to strongly consider replacing it soon.
