I just ordered a set of PS4S from TireRack. My tires are like 6-7 years old.

I threw a set of RE050's on my car a couple of weeks ago.
Better price than the Michelins by far, plus they are way more quiet on our horrible heavy chip roads.
They seems to go OK at the track as well.
But as DD tyre I'm really happy.

First fun run this afternoon on the new rubber. All I can say is goody goody gumdrops...as in sticky like gummy bears...this is going to be a fun summer!

I had the sport cup 2's on my 700rwhp 335i and loved them. I felt they had a lot more traction than the super sports at equal temperature. The down side is they don't handle as well in wet conditions and last about 75% as long as the super sports. I did not notice a difference in noise but others have.

PS4's definitely quieter than 2's. Liking them so far!
