11' 997.2 GT3RS SharkWerks Exhaust Install @ Shine Auto
We recently installed a SharkWerks GT3 / GT3RS Race Exhaust on our customer's 11' 997.2 GT3RS. He had a SharkWerks exhaust installed already but he wanted a throatier sound. Not only did we install his new exhaust, we also made a few adjustments to help reduce radiant exhaust heat. Check out the process we took to install this exhaust system!
Out with the old in with the new! This is the loudest exhaust system for the 07-12' GT3 and GT3RS. Not only does it sound great, it also drops 60lbs of excess weight over the OEM exhaust.

We pieced together the new SharkWerks Race Exhaust and installed it onto the vehicle to make sure everything fit properly in place. We tightened down all the exhaust clamps to keep it held precisely in place as it fits perfectly on the GT3RS. We then removed the entire exhaust system to heat wrap it!
We broke out the level to make sure our customer was 100% satisfied with the alignment of his 88mm exhaust tips!
To keep radiant heat to a minimum, our customer wanted to have the entire exhaust system wrapped with titanium exhaust wrap! We meticulously laid each layer of wrap onto the new SharkWerks exhaust. After the entire system was covered with heat wrap, we went a step further to help bond the wrap to the exhaust.

We carefully taped off the "SharkWerks" logo to add some contrast to what will soon be an all "blacked-out" exhaust system. Using some hi-temp spray adhesive, the exhaust system was carefully sprayed to help bond the heat wrap to the exhaust system while giving it a sleek black look.
Now that the heat wrap has been applied and the paint has had time to cure, we can proceed with the final installation of the exhaust system!
