Default 1 Day Decision - Which Turbo

Opening: If you recognize these cars, please do not disclose the owners as I'm trying to keep it anonymous for them.

Hi All,

As most of you know, I've been looking to buy a tuned/exhaust 997.1 Turbo for $65K. I've had a few people I've been in contact with, majority of them being out of state. I was pretty much set on Car 1, but then I got a PM for Car 2 and it is in California. I have basically a day to decide on which one I want to go with.

I'm thinking Car 2 is the one to go with. It needs a new cat but it is local, has the mods I want, and a nice options I wasn't even trying to go for (Axle Diff Lock, Ceramic brakes, etc.)

Thoughts?

Probably - the only thing going for car 1 would be the PCM (I don't like aftermarket stuff).
50 or 60 k miles is not that much of a difference and the options are way better on #2.

I'll be different: personally I would go with the first one, because PCCB on the 2nd. Great brake setup, but cost of replacement vs non PCCB is a huge factor for me.

Where were these deals when I was in the market for mine a couple months ago?

The cost should be ~1k, because you can replace it with a steel setup.

If he replaces them with steel before a failure he could sell them for a couple grand as well...

Right? I wasn't really looking for a car with PCCB so I hadn't done much research on them. All I knew is that if the rotors need to be replaced, they are a pretty penny. At the same time, you have people who are saying that the ceramic rotors will "never" need replacing. If you track the car, then life expectancy on them obviously goes down but for daily driving and spirited driving through the canyons here and there, they won't break a sweat.

Another option that I could do. Don't know if I'd end up selling them though because I'd like to have the option to put them back on for re-sell value.

Car 2 due to LSD, SSK and PCCB (caveat - look to ensure PCCBs are in good shape as that might be a future sell point in having the original brakes).

However, more PPI required as i assume anybody putting those kind of mods in drove it a lot harder than Car 1 for 10k more miles overall.
