When is a PDK tune needed
Hello-
New to the 997 turbo forum, and I've seen some info on the ability to tune the PDK to work with higher hp numbers. When/if do you need to tune the PDK clamping forces to match a higher engine output? I've got a '10 turbo with PDK that I'd like to get a stage I tune for; maybe add an exhaust and go stage II in the future.

When you are approaching 1.6 bars or more, a PDK Tune is a must, unless you want a PDK limp mode. Heck, when I was at 1.35 bars, my PDK went into Limp Mode, YMMV. There are at least 2 tuners that I know of that can do a PDK Tune. Emre from ESMotor and Kevin from Ultimate Motorwerks.

Completely smoother shifting, can't really feel them at all. Mine was jumping a bit during certain ships, and this cleared it right up. They replaced the fluid and retuned it. Well worth it to me.

Well I'm seeing 30psi in the mid-range (measured at the plenum) in my 997.2 with no PDK slippage in Sport or Sport Plus. In normal mode it slips at wot but that's no bid deal. Im running the GIAC/Champion 9-second package with meth.
