What is your sports car history?

I'm 32, got my first car at 17. Let's go through the list:
1. 1993 Mazda MX6 - Owned it for about 5 years and put about 75k miles on it. Put about $10k into it (body kit, motor swap, wheels, coilovers, etc.). This was of course early 2000's, so back in the Fast and the Furious days when "ricing" a car out was cool. Looking back on it, it was an abomination, but a ton of love and time and money went into this car at the time.
2. 2003 Chevrolet Impala - Total POS, only had it for about 10 months, and only bought it because my MX6 had too many problems with nearly 190k miles. Wasn't anything special, just my daily driver.
3. 2004 Volkswagen Jetta GLi - Fun car, I loved this thing. Had some fun little aftermarket goodies. Drove for maybe 2 years before moving on.
4. 2003 Suzuki GSXR-750 - Do bikes count? First bike, tons of fun. Eventually sold it and moved into # 5 as a project car.
5. 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo - Again, fun car, great project, enjoyed it while it lasted, but only had it for 6 months or so before I got bored with it. I did some aftermarket engine mods (exhaust and BOV, maybe some other small stuff) but at the end of the day it was just an old japanese car that needed a ton of work to make it how I wanted, so I moved into another bike again.
6. 2005 Suzuki GSXR-600 - My favorite bike, and I wish I never sold it. God I'm stupid.
7. 2011 Nissan Titan - Traded my GLi in for this. First car I ever bought brand new. Not into trucks, but I needed it to haul my dirt bike around. Only owned it for a little over a year.
8. 2011 Dodge Charger - Wife's car.
9. 2005 BMW M3 Competition Package - I miss this car to this day. One off the best cars I've ever owned.
10. 2007 Suzuki GSXR-750 - 3rd and final bike. When I sold this one (which I didn't have too long) I never looked back. I miss riding sometimes, but I think I'm over it.
11. 2009 Mercedes C350 - Bought this when I sold my M3, and missed the power when I moved to Germany and discovered the Autobahn, so after 3 months of being in Germany I promptly sold it and bought another..
12. 2011 BMW M3 Competition Package w/ ESS VT1-550 supercharger - Until now, the best car I've ever owned, bar none. Had about $20k in mods, and I loved every minute of the 2+ years I owned it.
13. 1997 BMW 318i - EU Spec, bought this thing as a daily beater to keep the miles off the M3. Only had it for 3 weeks because I flipped it for a quick $700 then bought..
14. 2009 Suzuki Forenza - Again, just my daily beater. Nothing special, just had it for a back and forth to work car. Eventually sold it after a year for what I paid and bought..
15. 2014 Jeep Cherokee - Wife's car, and a total POS, had nothing but problems (transmission issues, etc.). Sold it after only 7 months.
16. 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt (still own) - Daily beater, back and forth to work car, whatever.
17. 2015 Dodge Journey (still own) - Wife's car. Nothing special. Great for her and the kids.
18. 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo (still own) - Just picked this up a few weeks ago after selling the M3. I regretted selling the M3 until I picked this up. Best car I've ever owned, and I can't wait to get it to Germany (currently in Houston awaiting shipment).

I was always a Porsche guy, when I was very young, my cool uncle had a 356, when they came to visit I spent my time crawling over his car, not visiting family. Steve McQueen lived up the street, cool dude who would always stop and chat if I was out front and let me check out his cars (I'm sure he saw the "car guy" twinkle in my eyes.)
Three days before I turned 15.5 and got my "learners permit", bought a Honda 90 MC, traded it 4 days later for a Honda 305 MC. The day I turned 16 and got my drivers license, bought an Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite (helluva fun little car), 8 months later bought an MGB. Came very, very close to buying a 356 a year later, but got spooked worrying about insurance and repair costs. Then got too wrapped up in law school, career, marriage and family. Finally got my first 911 a year after ditching the evil ex, '93 RS America.

1. 1979 VW GTI - restored it with my dad to become my first car. Did everything in that car!
2. 1985 VW GTI
3. 1991 VW Jetta GLX
4. 1996 Acura Integra
5. 2004 BMW M3
6. 2005 Subaru STi - best car ever. Took a licking and kept on ticking! Put 90,000 km on it and an $80 CV boot cover that was replaced under warranty was the only non-wear item that was changed. Plenty fast with Cobb Stage 2, sway bars and a proper alignment. It was a beast on dirt roads and snow to boot.
7. 2012 Subaru STi
8. 1997 Acura Integra Type R. Headache within 5 minutes of driving it. I'm over cars like this!
9. 2007 997 Turbo Inbound. Bought off a university classmate. Just waiting for the snow to melt to pick it up... Can't wait. Will post pics etc when I get it

This looks like a fun game (sports cars only):
1979 BMW 320i (does this count?)
1989 Acura Legend (does THIS count?)
1991 Acura NSX (loved it, but was "old" even in the early 2000s)
2001 BMW Dinan S2 M5 (not quite a sports car with 4 doors, but wow, what a car)
2002 Carrera C2
2002 Turbo
2013 Turbo
Not as cool as some of the other lists, but much fun for me as I went through cars . . . KH

Wow, made me think:
'66 Datsun 1600 Roadster gone
'79 Mazda Rx7 gone
'82 BMW 320i (sports sedan, really) gone but miss it
'75 911S Silver Anniversary edition #345 gone. California car no guts
'84 Carrera Cabriolet ( had since 96 bought with 39K miles now has 146K miles)
'07 911 turbo 6 sd. (love it)
'07 Aston Martin DB9 Volante (wifes car)
'14 Aston Martin Vanquish (wife's other car)
'12 Porsche Panamera 4S (traded in for next car)
'14 Porsche Panamera Turbo (keeper for a while)
I have had many other cars of utilitarian nature come and go but love the sports cars. I have too many right now so need more garage space.
