New Turbo owner!!
Just a note to say hi..couple weeks ago traded my 2006 Guards Red aero C2S for a 2008 TT..it's a Meteor Gray 6-speed, factory aero, LSD, Sport Chrono car, full black leather .. has had tubes welded, numeric shifter installed, GT2 clutch slave, new clutch, all services, otherwise stock with 39k miles. Originally $138 and some change.
Since I traded my gorgeous 06 Carrera S for a 08 Turbo, at the Ferrari dealer in Seattle, I obviously got $crewed😆😆😆, but I LOVE my Turbo, yes I miss my Guards Red S, but I guess it's just the price of doing business.. This was the Turbo I wanted, and it was local....
ROAD TRIP TOMORROW!!! Driving around the Olympic Peninsula, 375 miles in a day....50 and sunny tomorrow!! Pictures to follow!!!
And I've already swapped out the amber side marker lights....

What guards red "S"? That's what you'll be saying in a month. Congrats. This is a world of different, the 08 Turbo. It looks amazing and with just the right stuff on it. What are your impressions so far?

Absolutely love the power. It's a "nicer" car than the C2S, with full leather...I love the numeric shifter. I do miss the growl of the NA motor...the AWD is nice up here in the rainy PNW...

Such a classic color for a Porsche 911... your car 5, 10 or more years from now will continue to draw complements...vs. the flavor of the day sports cars that quickly become dated with the next wave of sports cars. It's absolutely perfect as it is... Congrats and enjoy in good health. JB

I'd imagine the front lip has been replaced, maybe several times!! Love the car, did almost 400 miles today, loved every minute of it, what a difference from the Carrera S!!

I'm not a track guy, but I'd say, like most of us, I drive "sportingly" when it's safe to do so. On some wet roads yesterday, in tight curves, the car does not have the feeling of potential oversteer, like I'd get with the 2S. I never once felt like the car wasn't stuck to the road.
Probably a question better suited to guys with more AWD experience, but I'll say it's a definite improvement in handling, more than I had expected.

I'm also a former owner of a RWD Porsche 911 and I can definitely attest to the fact that the feel of the AWD and the additional weight of the turbo produces quite a different driving dynamic. The turbo feels so much more planted and feels like it would understeer when pushed hard, whereas my other 911 felt a lot lighter and felt like it could oversteer if I pushed hard. If you're a hardcore track guy (and I'm not), you probably would like the fact that you could break the back end loose when needed. However for most of us, the AWD is easier to drive fast. It does give it more of a GT cruiser feeling as opposed to raw sports car feeling.
