Default Got my stock 997.2 Turbo s on the dyno

Dynojet temps mid 40s and over 51k miles on it.

1st pull : 499 whp
2nd pull : 504 whp
3rd pull : 499 whp

On a car rated for 530 hp crank I'd say not too bad.

Link to vid of dyno pull of my car.

So despite the mileage on my car and that being dfi motor... Guess I don't have to worry much about Carbon deposits right?

Thanks for sharing, any Tq numbers?

Are you baselining for future mods?

JB

No torque numbers as they were trying to mess with the wires and modules in the backseat area to try to display the torque. in the end they couldn'the.

And yes this is a baseline run for future mods.

Those are decent numbers, about 550-60hp at the crank.
OP mentioned it was a 997.2 turbo s, so yes it's the new 9a1 direct fuel injection engine with 50k miles.
Very nice.

Probably more than that at the crank when you factor in awd drive train loss and PDK transmission with its wet clutches.

Drive line loss typically 17-22% manual to automatic. So, could be as high as 575hp.

Nice baseline numbers. Porsches always seem to perform better in real life than the conservative HP and acceleration numbers put out by the Porsche press releases, and your dyno results are yet another piece of proof that is true. These things really are supercars you can drive everyday.

Very nice results on a DynoJet. I assume that's SAE correction, but even if it was Standard the difference would've been only 4% lower.

Numbers would be very different on DynoDynamics and Mustang Dyno. I'd love to see your car results on those Dynos as it's extremely interesting to see the difference in numbers between each system.

For sure, I've always read (and heard) that DynoJets can be optomistic when compared to a Mustang, but have not actualy seen a side-by-side comparison.

I was happy with my dyno numbers on a Mustang for my tuned 997.1..

are these runs bad for the car? Always debated getting this done. Also I would have to find a place that has an AWD dyno which seems to be a chore.

Porsche recommends mechanically links dyno's.. That requires a driveshaft or cog style belt between the front and rear rollers. If the dyno does not have this system, front 4wd diff controller will fail. Similar to what happens when running wrong tire/wheel sizes.

It is my opinion that a dyno operator that does not have RPM speed sensors and proper OBD2 dataoggling is a waste of time and money. If you don't have the torque calculations in the dyno sheet how can you get the HP info correct. Tire size, vehicle weight and temperature can manipulate the final readings. Ask for the dyno data file. The printed dyno sheet must be backed up with data and calculations.
