It's a bosch thing. All their maf use the same security key. That's because they don't want you to remove the maf, technically a pollution control device, and Google the pn and buy an maf sans Porsche/mb/bmw etc tax. That's what I did, apparently the Opel one is exactly the same part as the 997tt only $50, not $150.

i bought 2 of them and that's what I am trying to do by replacing the MAF

Poor choice of words. I meant to say keeping it stock with the security Torxs.
