Default Turbo battery

Whats the most high cranking battery you can get for the 997 turbo? Not so concerned about weight. Just cranking power.

Thank you!

Bosch AGM is one alternative:
Size group - H8 850 CCA / 1020 cranking amps
Size group - H7 800 CCA / 960 cranking amps

Not sure why you're looking for cranking power. BTW, H7 is OEM size, H8 is 1.5 inches longer - it will fit in the tray but you may have to modify hold down clamp.

A few other options for you to consider..

I have been installing the East Penn brand AGM's for 4 years..

The are one of the LAST battery companies in the USA.. Made in the USA

The group 9A94R = H7 I run this battery

The group 49 = H8

There's an Interstate Battery distributor near Pasadena, went there once or twice, had the owner's son, a newly minted lawyer, just passed the bar exam and looking for a job, install the battery for $5. Gave him my card and suggested I might be able to help him find a job, but never heard from him. Perhaps he is still installing batteries at $5 each.

Recently I just have an Autozone battery (H7), works fine, failed after 2-3 years recently, and they handed me a new one free under warranty. I just don't see the mystery of batteries unless you are looking for some overpriced weight reduction, they all seem to do the job (and it takes all of 5 minutes to install them).
