If my sizing is incorrect on my rears, do tell me and I will swap them asap. The tires are brand new (I installed them this year) on stock rims.

This should be the correct size and difference.

You definitely have a greater than 5% difference like TT Surgeon said earlier using the tire sizes posted.

Something special with snow tires?
Stock rears are 305/30/19

At least they are for my 08 Coupe with PCCBs

Equates to 2.7% Diameter difference front/rear.

The rear tire is wrong and is the reason why your diff got fried.
No doubt about it in my mind. 295/30 would have saved you a lot of money.

Order 295/30 replacements. Race shop doing the work wasn't as certain it was an issue since the damage is left to right and not front to back, but for a couple of hundred bucks it is worth covering

I believe porsche states the difference should be less than 3%, so you're good. Anything more than 5% is dangerous.

Snow tires aren't available in a 305 width. I suppose that is the special thing about them that requires a change.
