Performing coolant pipe repair on GT1 engine. (Lots of pics)
Hi all, I am performing some repairs on the shop car and getting it ready for it to serve its purpose as a track car and also our R&D car. I will also be upgrading a few parts as well on the car. Here is a list of everything being performed on the car.
Car information:
Year: 2007
Model: 997.1 Turbo
Transmission: Manual
Engine: GT1 Based M97.70
Mileage: 23,051
Maintenance Repairs:
The car.
I did not manage to snag any pics of removing the engine but here is the empty engine bay.
The aftermath of aggressive acceleration in second gear! No fun!
Some of the upgrades.
The engine out!
These photos are from a few days ago, at this point I am halfway through the process. I'm now reassembling the engine. I will get the photos up once I get a chance to upload all of them!

I personally love the setup, I was not a fan of how quiet the Tubi street setup was. For some it may be to loud, but it isn't excessively loud to me unless your wot.

Here is the second part of our shop car upgrade saga! Last time we addressed the issues we were concerned with and removed the engine to begin the process. We have successfully pinned (bolted) the previously glued in coolant pipe fittings, resealed all the leaking areas of the engine, changed the spark plugs, turbo o-rings, cam position sensors, replaced all the coolant hoses on the engine, the water pump, upgraded to an Aasco single mass billet fly wheel, installed a spec 3+ clutch kit, and the Sharkwerks coolant fittings on the engine. Enjoy the pics below, feel free to message me with questions about the repairs and modifications we performed. Enjoy the pics below!

Nice pics! Was the coolant pipe pinning a preventative measure, or was it prompted by an ejected pipe? If you had to reinstall any of the pipes, what epoxy did you use? I know most people are using a Loctite product for the screws, but I'm not sure if they are using something different for gluing the tubes back in place when they come out.
