I suspect that this says more about how infrequently actually worn disks are seen in the wild than anything about the tech. Those circles are a little confusing until you see what they really look like at the end.

Either that, or they were looking for a cheap pair of spares, but really, I'd hope that that's not the case...

I certainly hope not too

Will be interesting to see what my OPC says about the brakes when it goes in for a service in a few months

I had the same question when I picked up a 997 TT recently, I'm going with the 3 circles, and micrometer measurements. When the rotors are toast, I'll slap on some Girodiscs.

There's also a company that rebuilds the ceramic rotors, much less than replacing, but sure how good they are when finished.
This thread is what spooks me about ceramics, $$$$ sooner or later.
