The above pictures shows my OBD2 tuning modules that I have been using for tuning 911's. The far left module is for the 997TT. The center unit has been used on the 996TT for the last 10 years. The far right module has been used with limited use on the 993TT's...
The below pictures shows the tuning module plugged in. The LED displays allows the user to switch between the 7 tuning channels. Four channels are available for tuning files including keeping your stock original file. the 5th and 6th channels READ all the engine diagnostics and allow the user to store, report, and clear possible engine codes.
Channel 7 allow the user hands free datalogging up to 13 minutes. The drive log can be stopped with a quick touch of the module (heat/touch sensitive).
I have attached a recent datalog from a customer car. Tuned and optimized for 91 octane. Seeing what your engine is doing is key for safe and longterm performance. My pledge is to spend the required time to explain what the data means. One can compare logs run from your STOCK Porsche file to the tuned files.. Nothing is hidden, back to back files can be logged and diagnosed.
Here is one of the data pages that is available. All of your engine and ECU data is shown. You can see my engine hours, including my Type 1 thru Type 6 OverRevs. At the bottom of the data report shows a CEL that was reported. One can easily clear the code. Fix the problem and monitor the situation.
Please Note: After your ECU has been tuned, you must return the datalogging/tuning module. If you want to purchase the module the cost is $495.00 You can make the decision whether or not you want to purchase the module. Datalogging and providing you with a Tune tailored to your car, geographic area and fuel octane is included in the tuning price.
Side Note: For customers that have zero patience, the tuning module is plug and play. Insert the module into the OBD2 port, touch the module for 3 seconds and wait till the LED stop the 9 to 1 countdown and display E-N-D... You have the option to return the module to me for tuning by FedEx or USPS or plug the tuning module into your Windows based computer (laptop is not required) to email me your ECU file.
Not much of a secret that I'm a UMW fan, but this is really a great upgrade. Kevin's customer service is fantastic as well as the product is terrific. If he can be patient with me, he can be patient with anyone.
I do want to point out that if you act quickly, Kevin will throw in a pair of those Wal-Mart special floormats he's sporting in that picture!
I've had kevins tune for nearly 2 years now, he has totally transformed my car. The power delivery is super smooth and shockingly quick, initially it actually frightened me how much more power than stock it has. Like Scott said, Kevin is the most patient person I have ever dealt with.
Just installed the UMW tune, it really wakes the car up in a very nice way. Cant wait to put the EP1 on too, then coil overs and I am done...at least for awhile. Such an exceptional car now!!
