Default I got a case of the creaks

My interior has a case of the creaks. It sounds like leather or rubber rubbing up against each other, and it's coming from multiple spots. I think I'm going to attack it by doing a full detail on the interior and make sure that all of the leather parts are conditioned fully.

Is there a list anywhere of problem areas that others have run into to concentrate on? I realize the car is eight years old, but this kind of stuff still makes me a little crazy (correct, crazier).

Any help or pointers would be appreciated,

I have the same problem. I think my passenger seat resonates at a particular frequency that drives me crazy. If someone is sitting in it it stops.
I too was going to treat the leather and see if its helps but I don't think so.

Default I got a case of the creaks

For me it rattles/creaks in the:
Chrono dash wart
Speedometer face
Passenger seatbelt clasp
Sunroof

These all resonate at different speeds/frequency. My car has the engine out for coolant pipes at the moment, but I'll be attempting to deal with the creaks when it's back.

Mine just started when the weather got warm. Sounds like the sunroof on mine at low speed leaving the driveway or around a parking lot.

Solution for the sunroof is to crack it open from the opposite end. Or, my dealer has some lube or something they use on it every 6 months and it makes the creaking go away for me. Lasts about 4-6 months depending how much rain it sees.

There doesn't seem much one can do to fix the sunroof issue. Porsche just didn't make good sunroofs on the 997. Not sure if the 991 does the same thing.

Thanks for the info. I will look into that. I just thought it was only my car.

There is actually a felt kit. Any good tech can get the squeaks out. My wife's cayenne turbo s was riddled with them and he took care of them all

The doors on my Cabriolet squeak when the top is down. I was told that a lubricant on the door seals would take care of it but haven't gotten around to it yet

I'm wondering if that won't solve a lot of it. My sunroof creaks, and so do my doors. I may try that first, it's a pretty easy fix.

FWIW I found my car's minor creaks and rattles went away upon reinstalling the center console after installing a Numeric shifter. May be worth a shot. Those small screws can work loose or even fall out entirely over time.

I used to get minor creaks on the passenger side every now and then. It turned out that the yellow connector underneath the seat was loose. Once I clipped it back into place, I didn't get any creaks anymore. Hope this helps someone.

I get squeaks and a rattle from the back seat passenger area. It drives me crazy. Sounds like the rear speaker grill and possibly something behind the rear seat. If i could figure out how to get the speaker grill off i would felt it.

Wow awesome thanks. Now if i could only get that side speaker grill out (it creaks pretty bad). Prying at interior pieces always ends poorly for me, haha.
