Anyone know how to remove the long leather door handle on our cars? Does the entire door panel need to come off? I've searched the DIY section but no luck.

Not sure, but in case you haven't already, you can search in the regular 997 DIYs on here, as well as the 987 section over on Planet-9. I've actually used several of their excellent DIY's over there for things like interior work, door panels, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if someone documented it over there..

I believe the entire door panel will need to be removed to remove the long door handle. You will also need to use a heat gun to melt the tabs holding the long handle to remove it and again to attach it. There's an excellent DIY on 6speed.

I found the DIY on 6speed but it only says how to remove the door panel, not the handle as well. Unless I missed seeing it. I'd like to know how to remove that as well before I start taking apart the door panel.
