Default Flying out Friday!! Road trip from Texas to Washington

Hey everyone,

First post here on RL !! Flying out from WA to Houston this Friday to pickup my new to me 07 Turbo in Midnight Blue 6spd and drive her home.. I'm coming out of a fairly modified 2009 GTR, hoping the 997 satisfies!

Trip works out to roughly 2400 miles going from Houston> Amarillo, Tx>Colo springs/Denver>SLC>PacNW Unfortunately I'm not able to stay and enjoy the sights but I've got a buddy flying down with me to help drive and co-pilot for the 3day journey back home.

Car only has 16.5k miles so its time someone drove her some distance! Everything checked out on PPI. I picked up an extended warranty through Fidelity sold by Scottsdale Porsche ask for Rick in F/I. Cannot say enough about him and the quotes he gave me. $4600 5yr/60k platinum bumper/bumper coverage. If anyone needs a quote he was the cheapest by far out of 3-4 other dealerships.

Reserving for pics from the Road trip.. Now to figure out how to make it through another day in the office and sleep (I'm not excited at all)

Options I know thus far:
Sport chrono
Adaptive Seats
Leather Dash
Leather Headliner
Carbon Sills
Carbon Dash (one part seems to be warped)

Is there anyway to obtain the original options list the vehicle was ordered with?

Thanks in advance! Only pics I have for now!
Chris

When would you past through Denver?

If on the weekend, let me know. Would love to show you what Cobb E85 could do for your car.

I should be in Denver mid-day on Saturday! If it's anything like the Gtr on corn I'll be hooked!

How would a tune work with my extended warranty? Are these traceable if flashed? Are some detectable and others able to be reverted back to stock and not seen?

With my Cobb tune, I can revert back to stock but, If converted to E85 with larger injectors, I cant completely revert back to stock.

Let me know about Saturday. PM me on the time and I will share my cell info etc.. If you want to see its capabilities. A quick 10min ride may change your mind.

Keep in mind they can deny all your warranty claim with any tune or even exhaust. Nice car and have a safe road trip. I wish I can have a road trip like that here, life on the island can be boredom.

Wow! Even for an exhaust ?! I was hoping to do wheels/exhaust without a tune and leave it at that. Figured there wouldn't be any issue with an exhaust!!!!??

Car looks great, I wouldn't sweat the exhaust. Which dealer?
The cf is a common failure item, very susceptible to weather extremes.
Enjoy!
Btw there should be an option sticker in the warranty manual or under hood.

Dudley123, PM me your VIN and I'll send you the OEM options list

I'm considering buying a car on the east coast but more than likely, for the $2k I'll ship it to CA and keep the miles off

thanks brian! I just sent you a PM.

I was originally going to transport but I always enjoyed buying out of state and getting acquainted with the new baby.. I figured buying the 997 with 15k I should be able to drive another 10-20k before any heavy depreciation sets in!

Car is being Xpel'd as we speak at Momentum Porsche for full front coverage..

Looks to be rather heavily optioned? Only missing locking diff?
