I bought my 08 manual turbo recently to be a daily driver and it does it well.

I think a 2010-2013 PDK turbo might be my next daily driver as Vancouver traffic can be heavy for a manual car at times... but thaty being said, for the times i can row through the gears on the weekend it makes up for it.
Heal-toe in a turbo is a lost art now that the 991 is PDK only... and for that reason it will be hard to sell my turbo anytime soon to avoid regret.

I use my 2012 TT-S as my DD, around 21k miles per year.

12 miles r.t. to the grocery store, 15 rt to the gym, and 7,200 r.t. cross country last July.

Out to dinner once a week with wife, and the TT goes in preference to 2 other nice cars.

As DD as it gets.

My TT only reserve for weekend fun or stress relief occasions, I use my C63 AMG for DD, 2015 Civic for beach/surf duty (I can park anywhere sand/rocks/cliff without worry). Wife hate my cars. Looking to add GT4 and get rid of C63 AMG soon.

I use a Panamera 4S for most DD in winter. 84 911 Cab was rebuilt last year and is usually my DD in the summer here and the TT fills in all the inbetween. I manage to put about 6K miles per year on it as it sees some weekend runs from Denver to New Mexico or Utah often in the summer.

In the last year I added to my collection with a couple of Aston Martin's, '07 DB9 Volante and a '14 Vanquish. Those will never be DD.

Good luck getting one. No allocations available that I'm (or my dealer) are aware of.

Daily drove for the first 4 years of ownership.
After 4 years 997.1 TT felt "hard, harsh" for Daily driving and cabin is noisy.

I prefer a softer and more silent cabin, quit DD 997 TT.

Speedventures is running DE and races at Laguna Seca in 11 days, June 26-28. Friday is sound restriction, but Sat and Sun are unlimited sound. I'm heading up for the Friday, as well as a couple other Porsche guys from Socal, I hope some of you guys show up.

I'm retired and use my 2012 997.2TT for as often as I can. The only time I don't drive it is when there's not enough room to carry what I need. In those cases I'm driving a Chevy Tahoe.

My tt is driven typically Monday - Thursday, and the 928 is my weekend car, unless I have a long trip.
