Great idea! Mr. Campbell is close by too.

I'm in Santa Rosa Valley. I see a silver 997TT in SRV once or twice a month.

GR convertible, that's hot. I need to try out a 997TT cabrio, just to feed my curiosity

It's my first convertible. Being an ex-cup racer, I always brushed them off as "Flexy Flyers" and "Poser-Mobiles". I have to admit…I LOVE it! The top is down every time I drive it. My wife put her foot down on motorcycles when I turned 50, so this is as close as I'm gonna get.

Good point, well I asked because I wanted to get a feel for how many of you used it daily. I think I'm going to start making mine a DD.... looking forward to it.. 33 mile commute to and from work... if I take the back roads less traffic than the actual city highway...I have options, so we'll see....

Got motivated by the few 911's I see in town during the weekly commute, not to mention Caymans, Boxters, Cayennes and Macans.... Figured I give it a shot.

Thanks all of you for answering the poll and your input.

I DD mine. But my commute is 14 miles round trip. And next year I won't have a commute at all, so my car will be default only be used for weekend duty.

Idk how some of you do these long commutes. Just my short commute and I end up putting 1k miles on it per month.

glad to see everyone using the car for what it was supposed to be used for. Never understood garage queens unless you have a huge stable. I had 3-4 cars at one point and didn't have enough time in the day to drive them, or was traveling. So they ended up sitting and depreciating without enjoying them on the road. So now i'm down to 2 and getting much more use of what I have. Also not saving mileage on the car for the next owner.

I've had the car a year and have put 10k on it. At 30k miles. I'm happy with that number.

I put roughly 25k a year on my DD's, so it's just not smart for me to do that to a 997tt. I get it out when I can, but I love staring at in the garage all the same.

Damn thats a lot of mile!

My DD is a Lexus Rx350 and that gets about 15K miles a year.

The 997T I just bought, gets about 100 miles a week or so.

Garage queen only driven on nice days/week-ends. Traffic in VA/DC is horrible and it's not practical for DD use. I enjoy my CTT which I use for DD. Not a .1/2 TT but still fun and a lot more comfortable.

My use is in between DD and weekend at this point -- I usually take it to work 2-3 days a week which is 50 miles roundtrip thru the canyons and down PCH (Hwy 1) thru Malibu. LA commutes suck but at least mine's scenic and curvy.

We definitely should do a get together or fun run for the folks out in this area sometime soon. Starting at Supercar Sunday as a meetup point might work. Or a PCA SBR breakfast perhaps.
