Default On-track video of my new 997.1 turbo

Last weekend I took my “new to me” 997.1 turbo to an event where we are some guys that are trying to give families with kids that are diagnosed with cancer a fun day at the track.

My track observations (the track is very very short):

The car is 100% stock and is fitted with some old, pretty worn pilot sport, but still I was very impressed with the car. (it´s my first time on-track with a Porsche)

The traction was very impressing.
The grip was not excellent but I think it will get better with new tires.
I could trailbrake very hard on this car.
It understeer a bit at turn-in in slow corners, but mid-corner I was able to balance this out with the throttle.
The balance in corners was perfect and was easy to adjust with the throttle.
A bit unstable under heavy braking where the brake zone is bumpy, but it don´t effect the braking just a new feeling ☺

All in all, I am very impressed with this car, hard to believe that this is also the car I use to pick up the kids ☺

nice vid, never seen that steering wheel before.

Btw surprised you are not wearing a helmet. If I were tracking i'd feel naked without a helmet.

Yes! Surprised no helmet was required, but looks like you had fun nonetheless. If you're wanting some good tips for things to upgrade for the track you can check out our track tech article here. Hope you bring the car out to the track again!

They don't require a helmet at the ring either. Anyway, looks like fun.
